Empowering Local Communities Through Strategic Initiatives

The Nizamia Foundation, a distinctive organization committed to reshaping the landscape of charitable giving by directing donations towards local initiatives in the United Kingdom.

In recent times, the focus of philanthropy has often been on projects and regions that remain distant and unfamiliar to donors. In the world of giving, we’ve noticed a trend where the spotlight often falls on faraway projects and regions, leaving local needs overlooked. At The Nizamia Foundation, we’re changing that narrative. The Nizamia Foundation seeks to redirect this attention to our own local communities, particularly emphasizing the urgent need for financial support within the United Kingdom.

At The Nizamia Foundation, we recognize the importance of investing in the future generation of our youth right here at home. While supporting the global Ummah remains crucial, we believe that priority should be given to our local neighbourhoods. The youth in our communities are facing challenges related to a lack of Islamic education and guidance, leading to identity crises and societal issues.

The ongoing financial challenges in the UK have further exacerbated the situation, making it difficult for working-class parents to afford Islamic education and activities for their children. The existing fees imposed by local mosques and organizations present an additional barrier, limiting access to basic Islamic rights and education for families with more than one child.

Our mission at The Nizamia Foundation is to address this issue head-on by utilizing your donations to fund the education and development of underprivileged children who would otherwise be unable to afford it. By doing so, we aim to keep them away from negative influences and criminal activities, fostering a sense of identity as future ambassadors of Islam. Our goal is to equip them with the necessary Islamic, social, moral, and financial tools to shape their own successful futures.

Our future projects include:

  1. Educational System Reform: Initiating reforms in the educational system of mosque teaching institutes across the UK.
  2. Support for Foreign Students: Assisting foreign students who lack financial means to study and earn simultaneously.
  3. Support for Widows: Providing emotional and financial support for widows who have been neglected by families and communities.
  4. Food Kitchen: Establishing a food kitchen for those facing financial constraints or vulnerability.
  5. Facility Renovation: Undertaking renovation works on educational facilities to better accommodate the community for worship, events, and activities.

The Nizamia Foundation invites you to be part of this journey, making a positive impact on our local communities. Your support plays a crucial role in brightening the future for our youth and improving our society’s well-being.

Our Mission

The Nizamia Foundation is a duly registered charitable organization that emerged from the dedicated efforts of a group of tutors. Originally established to address the educational needs of children, our mission evolved into the provision of an Islamic educational approach grounded in Islamic pedagogy.

Our roots trace back to Madrassah Jamia Nizamia Educational & Cultural Centre, a respected madrassa situated in Derby, United Kingdom. Founded in June 1997 by the esteemed Pir Zulkifal Hussain Sabir Chishti, this centre served as a worship place, educational hub, and cultural centre. Recognizing the community’s needs, the founder identified the imperative of providing Islamic education to the youth for the betterment of future generations. To date, over 1000 local young British girls and boys have successfully graduated from our programs.

In February 2022, the institution took a significant step by officially registering as a non-profit charitable organization. This strategic move aims to transition our focus beyond mere tutoring to the development of a more contemporary educational, cultural, societal, communal, and prominently, a charitable approach. This alignment with the principles of the Quran, Sunnah, and authentic Islamic literature reflects our commitment to better embody the foundational ethos of a charity.

Recognizing that Muslim youth represent the future leaders of Islam, it is paramount for them to comprehend Islam from the correct perspective. Through gaining knowledge rooted in the Quran and authentic Sunnah, they can grasp the true purpose of their existence on this earth. Our vision is to impart this crucial knowledge and understanding.
